Throughout his 30-year journey in search of the path to national salvation, President Ho Chi Minh cherished only one goal: “Freedom for my people, independence for my homeland.” That aspiration became reality on September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, where he read the Declaration of Independence, proclaiming the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and solemnly declaring to the world: “Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence, and in fact has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese nation is determined to bring all its spirit and strength, its life and property, to safeguard that freedom and independence.”
Social media platforms and gaming companies in Vietnam have launched the campaign “Proud Vietnam – Reddening Cyberspace Red.” The campaign highlights the power of the digital space in awakening patriotism, honoring the nation’s historical and cultural values, and strengthening community solidarity.

Over the past 80 years, generations of Vietnamese have sacrificed their blood, sweat, and wisdom to protect and advance the achievements of the August Revolution, safeguarding national independence while striving to bring freedom and happiness to the people.
This was not only a historic event but also the crystallisation of a long and arduous struggle. It marked a great turning point that transformed the Vietnamese people from a status of slavery into the masters of their own country.
As part of Vietnam’s economic and financial development roadmap, Da Nang is emerging as a strategic location for building the country’s International Financial Centre. With the national goal of achieving double-digit growth and becoming a high-income country by 2045, this centre is not only a growth driver for Da Nang but also carries national significance.

This not only facilitates travel to revolutionary historical sites and participation in commemorative events, but also helps ease traffic congestion, and promote the image of a modern, civilised and welcoming capital.
