Learning ethnic languages to stay close to and better serve people
In the mountainous communes of Quang Ngai province, home to people from 44 ethnic minority groups, language barriers have long posed a major challenge for officials, police officers, soldiers and teachers working at the grassroots level when communicating with residents and handling their affairs. To overcome this challenge, police officers, teachers and officials at all levels in the locality have proactively learned ethnic minority languages, thereby strengthening solidarity and improving the effectiveness of public communication and mobilisation efforts.
