The one-month main harvest season of custard apples in Chi Lang district, the northern province of Lang Son begins in August and lasts to the end of September every year. Chi Lang custard apple is famous for its aroma, large size, sweetness thanks to the typical soil quality and climate. Lang Son province has worked to enhance the value of its custard apple through applying VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards in cultivation, granting of planting area codes, packaging and labeling with product traceability stamps, actively promoting product brands in domestic and foreign markets, aiming to boost custard apple export via official channels.
