US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, along with a US delegation sent by President Joe Biden, on July 27 evening came to offer incense in tribute to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong and extend condolences to the late leader's spouse Ngo Thi Man and his family at their residence on Thien Quang street in Hanoi.

The Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations (UN) welcomed nearly 100 delegations during the two days of national mourning to pay their respects, wrote in the condolence book and express sorrow and gratitude for Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at its headquarters in New York on July 25 and 26.

At 1:00 PM on July 26, 2024, the memorial service for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was held at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street in Hanoi. Simultaneously, the ceremony took place at the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and in his hometown, Dong Hoi Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi. At 3:00 PM the same day, the burial service for the late Party leader took place at Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi.

The State Funeral Board and the family of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong delivered a thank-you message following the burial service for the Party leader on July 26 afternoon.

The burial service for General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong took place solemnly at Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi at precisely 3pm on July 26.

More than 5,600 delegations with over 252,000 people formally paid tribute to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi, the Reunification Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, and his hometown in Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Hanoi's outlying district of Dong Anh during the two-day state funeral on July 25-26.
