Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 underway in downtown Hanoi
The Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 is not only a festival but also a stepping stone toward establishing an annual “Vietnam Happiness Day”, affirming that the country is not only a land of natural beauty, but also a destination of humanity, peace, and confidence in a better future.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 opened on the morning of December 6 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in downtown Hanoi, treating the public to an eventful weekend.

The event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the municipal People’s Committee, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, and Vietnam Television.

In his opening remarks, Standing Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh stressed that 2025 marks a proud milestone as Vietnam rises to the 46th place in the World Happiness Report, up eight places from the previous year. This figure, he noted, is not merely a statistic but a recognition of the consistent efforts by the Party and the State in creating a peaceful and humane living environment, as well as the optimism, compassion, and solidarity of the Vietnamese people as they work toward a prosperous and loving future.

According to Binh, the Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 is not only a festival but also a stepping stone toward establishing an annual “Vietnam Happiness Day”. It affirms that the country is not only a land of natural beauty, but also a destination of humanity, peace, and confidence in a better future.

The festival offers a multilayered experiential journey, with activities stretching along the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake. There are 13 experience zones, including an exhibition space, a digital interactive area, art photobooths, and various outdoor activities. Notably, at the Ly Thai To Statue area, the “tree of happiness” is expected to receive tens of thousands of wishes and messages.

One of the most prominent highlights is a mass wedding ceremony for 80 couples, representing 80 years of independence, freedom and happiness of the country. Some of them are newlyweds starting a new chapter, while others have been together for 15, 30, or even 50 years.

The festival will also feature a Vietnamese costume parade with 800 participants, a workshop, and a musical concert./.
