Vietnam’s ST25 rice once again named world’s best
This marks the third time the Ong Cua ST25 brand, developed by Hero of Labour Ho Quang Cua, has won the prestigious title, following victories in 2019 and 2023.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – Vietnam’s ST25 rice has once again been crowned the world’s best rice, sharing the honour with Cambodia’s Phka Romdoul at the World’s Best Rice Award 2025 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

According to Lun Yeng, Secretary General of the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF), the results were announced on November 9, with both Phka Romdoul, marketed under the brand name Malis Angkor, and Vietnam’s ST25 rice taking first place, surpassing over 30 entries from various countries.

This marks the third time the Ong Cua ST25 brand, developed by Hero of Labour Ho Quang Cua, has won the prestigious title, following victories in 2019 and 2023.

The World’s Best Rice Award 2025 was part of the 7th World Rice Conference organised by The Rice Trader from November 7–9 in Phnom Penh./.
