Hanoi (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology on October 29 held a ceremony honouring winners of the 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award and the 2025 Vietnam Female Students in Science and Technology Award.
The 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award honours 10 young scientists under 35 years old in the fields of information technology, digital transformation and automation; medical technology; biotechnology; environmental technology and new materials technology.
Launched over 22 years ago, the award has increasingly affirmed its prestige and global reach, and become a driving force to arouse the pride and aspirations for creativity of young Vietnamese intellectuals. In 2025, it attracted 96 entries, of which 83 were eligible. Notably, 26 of the candidates are studying and working in countries with developed science and technology, such as Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, the US, France, Sweden, the UK, Austria, China, and Australia.
Meanwhile, 20 outstanding female students won the 2025 Vietnam Female Students in Science and Technology Award. They are studying in the areas of information technology, mechanics, electricity, electronics, telecommunications, materials, the environment, applied biology and architecture - construction.
Established in 1977 for outstanding female students in information technology, the award aims to recognise and encourage female studients’ achievements in science and technology, contributing to the training of a high-quality female workforce in these fields.
Many of them are active youth union members and volunteers, recognised for their academic achievements and contributions to their communities.
As of 2025, a total of 779 female students received the award./.
