Bac Ninh: Family of “ambassadors” bringing Dong Ho folk paintings to world

The family of artisan Nguyễn Hữu Hoa and his wife, Meritorious Artisan Nguyễn Thị Oanh in Dong Khe neighborhood, Thuan Thanh ward (Bắc Ninh) continue to preserve and develop the craft of Dong Ho folk painting – an intangible cultural heritage in urgent need of safeguarding. Over the years, Meritorious Artisan Nguyễn Thị Oanh has actively participated in demonstrations, exhibitions, and promotional activities both domestically and internationally. In addition, guiding visitors in printmaking and offering deeper insights into Dong Ho folk painting has helped attract tourists and spread Vietnam’s traditional cultural values.
