Da Nang seeks practical investment cooperation with Dubai partners

Da Nang (VNA) – The Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Centre under the municipal Department of Science and Technology, in coordination with Aeternum Consulting Ltd., on February 25 held a working session with Dubai partners and international investors to promote cooperation opportunities.

The event followed a recent working trip by the department to Dubai, aiming to strengthen connections between Da Nang city’s innovation startup ecosystem and international organisations, technology enterprises and global investors.

The programme focused on promoting investment cooperation, commercialising products, developing digital assets and expanding international markets for Da Nang-based startups through direct engagement with Dubai partners.

At the session, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology Le Son Phong said Da Nang seeks to expand international cooperation, particularly with financial and innovation hubs in the Middle East. Establishing and deepening partnerships with Dubai has been identified as a strategic and long-term direction.

The city is prioritising investment attraction in high-tech sectors, digital finance, blockchain, artificial intelligence and new economic models aligned with its green, smart and sustainable development orientation.

Participants exchanged experience and proposed practical solutions to prepare for upcoming joint activities, aiming to create tangible investment opportunities between Da Nang, Dubai partners and international investors. The city reaffirmed its commitment to accompanying businesses and global partners in building a dynamic, integrated and sustainable innovation ecosystem.

The programme also introduced the “Unchained Summit – Vietnam Edition” and the joint strategy to develop the Web3 and innovation ecosystem between Da Nang and Aeternum, along with the launch of the event’s official website. The summit is scheduled for May 28–29 at the Furama Resort Da Nang.

The international event will focus on digital assets, blockchain, fintech, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with the goal of positioning Da Nang as a regional hub for innovation and digital economy development. Activities will include startup pitching, one-on-one investment matching, panel discussions, specialised workshops, technology exhibitions and community networking.

On the occasion, the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Centre and Aeternum Consulting signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in innovation, digital assets and emerging technologies, demonstrating their shared commitment to promoting international collaboration and digital transformation.

The engagement with Dubai partners reflects Da Nang’s determination to become a regional innovation centre and deepen its integration into regional and global innovation networks, with science, technology and digital transformation identified as key growth drivers in the new development phase./.
