Fireworks celebrate 50th anniversary of city being named after President Ho Chi Minh
Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of July 2, 2026, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., simultaneously staged artistic fireworks displays at 16 locations to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saigon–Gia Dinh officially being named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 – July 2, 2026). At the Saigon River Tunnel entrance in An Khanh Ward—the largest fireworks venue featuring 1,000 high-altitude fireworks along with a large-scale low-altitude display—brilliant bursts illuminated the downtown skyline, creating a magnificent spectacle. Thousands of residents and visitors gathered around Ba Son Bridge, the Saigon Marina IFC building, and both banks of the Saigon River to enjoy the dazzling display, sharing the festive atmosphere and pride on this special anniversary of the city bearing President Ho Chi Minh’s name.
