The programme enables OVs to meet Party and State leaders, update themselves on national development orientations and share ideas and proposals in science and technology, innovation, investment, education and promoting Vietnam’s image abroad. The Party was founded on February 3, 1930, by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc. The people affectionately called it “our Party,” a simple name embodying deep trust. Despite progress in legislation and policy-making, implementation remains uneven, with financial mechanisms and administrative barriers still constraining innovation.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development," the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is taking place at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi from January 19-25, 2026, with the participation of 1,586 delegates representing over 5.6 million Party members nationwide.
