Gia Lai makes bananas a key export product
Gia Lai province is promoting the application of high
technology in banana cultivation to increase value, build it into a key
agricultural export product, and contribute to the goal of restructuring the
agricultural sector towards sustainability. By the end of the first quarter of
2025, Gia Lai province has been granted 227 growing area codes with an area of
nearly 9,700 hectares and 38 packaging facility codes, with a capacity of
1,550 - 1,700 tonnes of fresh fruit a day for export to major markets.
Currently, Gia Lai banana products are present in Japan, Korea, the Middle East.
