Lak Lake in Lien Son Lak Commune (Dak Lak) is the largest and most beautiful natural freshwater lake in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. The lake is also associated with the epics of the indigenous M'Nong people, including the legend of the orphan Lak Lieng and the sacred eel, a symbol of water and life for local villages.
