Footsteps in search of fallen soldiers
In response to the 500-Day Campaign for searching and repatriating the remains of fallen soldiers, officers and soldiers of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Team for Searching and Recovering Martyrs’ Remains are actively conducting missions to locate the remains of soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the defense of the northern border. Despite numerous challenges caused by the passage of time, rugged terrain, and significant landscape changes over decades, every piece of information from archival records, martyrs’ relatives, veterans, and local residents, no matter how small, is carefully collected, studied, cross-checked, and verified to clarify potential leads. Regardless of harsh weather conditions, driven by a sacred responsibility to the Party, the State, the People, and the families of fallen heroes, the officers and soldiers remain committed to field investigations, meeting witnesses, reviewing evidence, and verifying information to ensure searches are conducted at the correct locations. Their efforts reflect dedication, responsibility, and profound gratitude to comrades who sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland, with the hope of bringing them home to their comrades, families, and homeland.
