Vietnam targets that by 2030, 95% of people aged 15 and above will have bank transaction accounts, while the value of cashless payments will reach 30 times GDP.
According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), non-cash payments recorded strong growth in the first quarter of 2026, with transactions rising 37.98% in volume and 14.22% in value year-on-year, reflecting a clear shift toward digital payments.
From the cash-only days, plenty of hospitals have made a fast switch to modern payment options like QR code scans, bank cards, e-wallets, and payments straight through healthcare apps.
