Free bus fares expected to encourage shift away from private vehicles

From July 1, Ho Chi Minh City will waive fares on 134 bus routes, including 109 subsidised and 25 non-subsidised services, with the policy remaining in effect through the end of 2026.

E10 biofuel deemed compatible with over 90% of vehicles

Technically, E100 ethanol contains around 34.7% oxygen and has a high octane rating of about 108 RON, enabling more efficient combustion. Studies also show that E10 can reduce carbon monoxide (CO) emissions by 20–30% and hydrocarbon (HC) emissions by 10–20% compared to conventional petrol.

Vietnam accelerates drive to master EV technologies

By the end of 2025, Vietnam had established 28 standards and technical regulations related to charging stations, charging equipment and batteries. The legal framework is expected to be fully completed in the third quarter of 2026.
