Vung Ang 2 thermal power plant - New driver for national energy security
Vung Ang 2 thermal power plant in the central province of Ha Tinh officially commenced commercial operation of its first generating unit on July 22, 2025. With a capacity of 665 MW and the application of state-of-the-art technology, the plant has contributed more than 254 million kWh of electricity to the national grid after just seven months of operation. It is currently maintaining safe and stable grid connectivity while accelerating the completion of Unit 2. Photo: Hoang Nga – VNA
