Bringing literacy to the Ruc ethnic community in Quang Tri
Hoa Primary and Secondary School, located among On, Yen Hop and Mo O O O villages in Kim Phu commune (Quang Tri), has nearly 150 students, all from the Ruc, a subgroup of the Chut ethnic minority. During the flood season, the route from the commune centre to the school is often deeply inundated, requiring teachers to take two to three boat trips to reach class. Despite the hardship, the teachers remain committed-teaching students during the day and running a literacy class at night for 19 Ruc adults. Photo: Ta Chuyen – VNA
