The year-end family feast – a distinctive cultural feature of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year – is an occasion for generations to reunite, bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one with wishes for smoothness and prosperity. Welcoming the Year of the Horse 2026, ethnic communities in Tuyen Quang Province gather to wrap chung cakes, make day cakes, and prepare traditional year-end meals imbued with their unique cultural identity, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere.
