Officers undertaking UN peacekeeping missions in South Sudan and Abyei area receive decisions
On the morning of August 10, 2026, in Hanoi, the Ministry of
National Defence held a ceremony to hand over decisions signed by the State
President to officers assigned to UN peacekeeping missions at the United
Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) and the United Nations Interim Security
Force for Abyei (UNISFA). Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief
of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, attended the ceremony.
