When technology becomes an effective tool supporting teachers and inspiring students’ creativity, the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW becomes clearly visible in every lesson, every digital lecture and every learning space without distance in the heart of the capital. Photo: Thanh Tung - VNA
Giang Vo Secondary School’s participation in the pilot programme as the main central connection point provides an opportunity for the school to proactively accelerate digital transformation and innovation, while adopting diverse teaching methods based on the principle that technology does not replace the classroom or teachers, but expands learning spaces, connects students and facilitates the sharing of teaching resources among schools. When used appropriately, technology not only makes lessons more engaging but also helps transform students’ roles from primarily receiving knowledge to actively participating in the learning process. Photo: Thanh Tung - VNA
Open Learning – Bridging gap in learning spaces
Implementing Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on promoting science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, and Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on making breakthroughs in education and training development, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training is piloting the open learning/blended learning model across the city. Open Learning is a model that organises learning spaces in an open manner, allowing students to access learning materials anytime and anywhere; make use of digital learning materials, open educational resources, videos and digital lectures; connect with experts and social organisations to support learning; and choose flexible, personalised learning pathways.
