Tra Vinh aims for net-zero emissions by 2050
Tra Vinh Province operates four thermal power plants and five wind and solar power plants with a total capacity of 4,820 MW. During the 2026–2030 period, Tra Vinh has been approved to operate five additional projects, including rooftop solar, waste-to-energy, and biomass power, adding 288 MW to its total capacity. These projects will help Tra Vinh capitalize on its strengths in renewable and clean energy development, becoming a national hub for renewable energy exports and achieving the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.
