Australian Ambassador highlights Vietnam’s growing regional and global role

Vietnam offers special incentives to attract scientists, experts in global integration

The June 30 decree covers civil servants, public employees, officers of the armed forces, personnel engaged in foreign affairs and international integration, alongside scientists, experts in global integration, and educational establishments specialising in international integration.

Central Steering Committee for Foreign Affairs and International Integration established

The Politburo has decided to establish the Central Steering Committee for Foreign Affairs and International Integration, chaired by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam, under Decision No. 198-QD/TW dated June 10, 2026, with a total of 37 members.

Hang called on countries to act responsibly in accordance with international law and the UN Charter; respect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of states; refrain from using or threatening to use force; and settle disputes peacefully through dialogue. She also underscored the importance of ensuring security, safety and freedom of navigation through straits in line with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
