Students in U Minh Ha make their way to school on first day of new academic year
In the U Minh Ha forest area, most students’ families make a living from growing cajuput and hybrid acacia trees or doing hard manual labor. Despite these challenges, on the morning of September 5, 2026, all of the more than 400 students at Trinh Van Huong Primary School in Khanh Lam commune, Ca Mau province, eagerly headed to school in their new clothes, traveling by boats weaving through the forest canopy.
